Straw/Coconut

AEC Premier Straw/Coconut blankets, as manufactured by American Excelsior Company, shall be made from the finest quality agricultural straw and top quality strands of coconut fiber. The coconut fibers shall be blended into the straw blanket to comprise 30% of the total weight of the blanket. The coconut and straw fibers shall be evenly distributed in blanket form and stitched to a UV enhanced black net on top and a UV enhanced green net on bottom. The blanket performance shall be supported by an ASTM protocol test result.

AEC Premier Straw/Coconut has a design soil loss ratio (event-based RUSLE C factor) of .15 and is typically suitable for slopes up to 1.5H:1V. AEC Premier Straw/Coconut is rated for channel flows up to 8.5 ft/s (2.6 m/s) and 2.0 lb/ft² (96 Pa) shear stress.

Premier Coconut (100% Coconut)

AEC Premier Coconut blanket, as manufactured by American Excelsior Company, shall be made from the finest quality strands of coconut fiber. AEC Premier Coconut shall be comprised of coconut fiber. The coconut fiber shall be evenly distributed in blanket form and stitched to top and bottom heavy duty UV enhanced black nettings. The blanket  performance shall be supported by an ASTM protocol test result.

AEC Premier Coconut has a design soil loss ratio (event-based RUSLE C factor) of .05 and is typically suitable for slopes up to 1H:1V. AEC Premier Coconut is rated for channel flows up to 9.0 ft/s (2.7 m/s) and 2.25 lb/ft² (108 Pa) shear stress.

FibreNet (Straw-Coconut & 100% Coconut)

AEC Premier Straw/Coconut FibreNet erosion control blanket (ECB) consists of a blend of 70% straw and 30% coconut fibers. The straw fibers used in the product are the finest available agricultural straw with 75% four-inch fibers or greater fiber length. The blended fibers are evenly distributed throughout the entire area of the blanket. The top and bottom of each blanket is covered with 100% biodegradable jute netting. The product is 100% biodegradable when biodegradable thread is ordered. AEC Premier Straw/Coconut FibreNet shall be manufactured in the U.S.A.
